Yes, I installed Window 7 RC1 over the top of Windows 7 Beta and this killed GRUB. I reinstalled GRUB into the Ubuntu 8.10 partition and kept the Windows loader. Using this forum and EasyBCD 1.7.2 I had the same problem as described above.
With EasyBCD 2.0 Beta 61, it worked like a charm.
