I have XP and Vista installed on two seperate drives and each will boot when the hard drive priority is changed in the BIOS.

Which drive should I use as the boot drive (XP or Vista) and then how to install a boot menu using EasyBCD

Welcome to NeoSmart Technologies, LoveBug.

You need to use the Vista drive as boot, but you'll have to make some changes to your configuration.

Namely, you need to copy NTLDR and NTDTECT to the Vista drive, as well as boot.ini.
However, you need to modify boot.ini to point to a different drive (probably chane rdisk to rdisk+1)

See http://neosmart.net/wiki/display/EBCD/Windows+XP for more.
