The Introduction Thread

I am vishwas , Kind of a computer geek who specializes in experimenting on old used PC's of my friends before they manage to dispose or sell it :grinning:

I just got a PM that suggests new user to drop in to this thread.

So... hi!

New user here but I've posted a plea for a help already!

Cleveland, Ohio - Love the EasyBCD software. Just figured out how to use it recently. I enjoy working with both Windows and Linux. I am into technology and try to stay on top of what's hot. I finally got the dual boot working on my new HP Envy notebook. EasyBCD was no help, but I got a work around for Grub to Boot Windows 8. I am not a Windows H8ter. However, I think the future is Linux and it is just a matter of time.

Joined because I had trouble with a dual boot on a dynamic drive; Windoze just wouldn't boot anymore. Had success with the nuclear holocaust method, after several attempts and many hours of research and hair pulling. Thank you for the guidance.

tremendous lack of creativity while picking a moniker. probably like most, compelled to join out of dire need to tshoot a BIG PROBLEM. new to Vista, tried dicking around with multi-boot, and sure nuff created problems for myself. creating my own crises: brilliant!

six years and 62 pages long welcome thread. maybe flip it eh?

Hi!

I am new to multiboot and sure would like to walk in that alley. Web site like reboot.pro seems to give real good information but they look to much technical for me. GRUB Tools seems to do a good job but the learning curve is impressive. bcdedit is a pure Microsoft solution but i didn't find a good user guide. EasyBCD for what i understand provides a BCD solution from Windows Vista/7/8 through a simple and intuitive tool. Thank you very much to the developers for their time and efforts. Thank you also to all members of this forum for their implication and volunteerness. You not only help people like me but also contribute to a transfert of knowledge. THANK YOU !!

Hello to All

Hello everyone! I'm currently trying to install a Dual Boot system on my XP machines (4 all told). EasyBCD seems to be the best place to be. About me? As my profile reads: I recently spent 27 years in the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration as an Air Traffic Control Specialist and a System Analyst on a mainframe system that included 21 mainframe computers networked throughout the U.S. My goal now is to develop a web based business using the skills I've picked up in the industry over the years. Right now I'm concentrating on RATs (Remote Access Trojans), preventing and eliminating them.
