Computer Gaming

I forgot about Steam. I have that installed as well. But i only haev things like CS : S , Half Life Daf of Defeat source in there. I dont ahve any mods or anything really new in there. I only got Steam cause i wanted CS : S.

Something even more interesting is that i can play Doom 3 from my Vista partition even though it is isntalled fully on my XP partition. Steam has to install itself but it works as well.
 
In theory, gaming is better in XP, if you want max performance for games, XP takes way less ram, which leaves more for games.
 
In theory yes that is right. But since ihave 3GB of RAM that isnt too much of a issue. Even a fresh install of VIsta with all my Apps now isntalled i am still not even using 40% of my RAM. Granted that is more than XP but that still leaves 60% of my RAM for games. More than enough to run any games. :tongueout:

i have never had "RAM" problems on vista with games, i kill off as much as possible anyting that says Donald i kill off, unless i need it to say connected to the net and such, sound i keep on too...

Btw, I'm only playing a bit of NFS Most Wanted, after it probably will go on STALKER.

Now I have 768MB 400Mhz of RAM! :lol: LOL...
 
I've been gaming a lot since I got my new rig:

Crysis: Awesome graphics, first half is *wonderfully* done, second half sucks, plot sucks.
Bioshock: Decent story, terrible graphics, very "clunky" feel to it.
Halo 2: Great.
GRAW2: Incredibly realistic. Very good graphics, very fun to play.

Of course everyone have their own opinion, so I can present my own. :smile:

In my case Bioshock took my breath away from the first scene all the way trough 30 minutes play.

I know irational games from SWAT serial, and SWAT 4 sucked. Engine was ew, looooong loading, bad optimization. But Bioshock is, in my opinion, work of art. Somehow I didn't see a modern technology that wasn't used in Bioshock.

I have no idea which engine is this, is it their or they bought it, but the complete game came out as something I could enjoy every second playing. (I didn't get very far, I had to go around first scene and admire it :lol:smile:

Concept design is pretty interesting, in my opinion, this game is work of art. :smile:
 
I still didnt play it so i cant say.
I have finals so gaming is semi-limited
Im playing COD4 for a third time, and i started World in Conflict.
But hopefully my brother is coming soon with a ton of games. :joy::joy::joy::joy:

as for my gaming... um AUDIOSURF!

think guitar hero, with f-zero racing ^_^ ITS TOTALLY AWESOME! and you get to use your MP3 and other media types

other then that, not much some COD4 on the xbobx 360 at friends room ^_^
