I thought the US preoccupation with pinkos referred to Communists. Unfortunately they regard anyone left of the extreme right as pinko.
(They just collectively can't understand Socialism).

I think it's not so much a mis-understanding of socialism as it is a paranio of anything that can be even remotely linked to Russia and the Cold War.

Well I've been called a pinko because I live in a country that has socialised medicine....go figure!!
Considering that almost every civilised country in the world, except the US, has socialised medicine escapes these people.

^ thank you Terry and Sarge ^_^

as for being an american, i dont understand why we dont have socialized medical. I have always been on Medicaid most of my whole life. but its been so hassle filled to get it and you have you renew your insurance every month :frowning:

This probably belongs in the idea post but for your idea of changing the ranks Guru.
How about putting them as parts of PC hardware/software.
code/program/os/so on (you probably know more)
or ram/motherboard/graphics card/motherboard/cpu and so on.
Just a suggestion what do you guys think?

^lol

its about living on the edge. how there the cutting edge, and then the bleeding edge (software) "But when you’re living on the bleeding edge, you should not be surprised when you do, in fact, bleed."

so when you use bleeding edge software, its highly likely there will be problems.

i took this quote from the Bleeding Edge Wiki page

Bleeding Edge software is "a term that refers to technology that is so new (and thus, presumably, not perfected) that the user is required to risk reductions in stability and productivity in order to use it. It also refers to the tendency of the latest technology to be extremely expensive."

So basically the saying means if you use this you can bleed (as in loss of productivity and money).
It is explained better in the Wikipedia article:
Bleeding edge - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

ah okay now i understand thank you for the clarification now i understand
How many of you use Wikipedia?????? for research and support?
