Hello!

I've been a very happy EasyBCD users ever since I bought a Thinkpad that has a totally weird partitioning scheme, and it became simpler to chainload GRUB from BCD than to try massaging it in without breaking access to the recovery partitions.

I guess I've not been a member of the forum because -- for a long time, EasyBCD 1.7.2 just works. Until I could not get Linux chainloaded on my Vaio and opted for the beta instead.

Looking forward to being more active here, now that I'm already in. Thanks for such a great tool!

Get yourself a copy of the latest 2.0 build Hircus,
1.7 pre-dates grub2 and W7. They're only supported in the new release.
Lots of other new goodies in there too.

Hiya Hircus, glad you liked the beta builds.

Welcome to the forums, and we look forward to seeing and hearing from you more often

Hello!

Hello everyone I am a computer novice and yes this is a cry for help. I have read many posts here in search of an answer to my problem but I guess my first problem is that I don't know anything about software and hardware. I've searched high and low for a new thread button in vain so I must lack permission to post one lol.

I have a file system corruption on my hard drive (Vista 64-bit) and I have seen many answers here for that problem, but I have never had to use a recovery disc in my life. I have a 2-disc recovery, and an apps & drivers disc but have no idea how to use them. I start up my pc and get the freezing startup repait thing, can't boot into safe mode, can't system restore because of corruption. Disk check freezes. Any ideas?? All advice greatly appreciated and sorry this post is so long

Hope everyone has a wonderful day!

Hi
I'm Ethan. I'm a Student from Switzerland that is specialising in IT. I came here because I have Ubuntu 9.10 64-bit, Hackintosh  and Win7 64-bit on my maschine but because Ubuntu 9.10 uses Grub2 I need EasyBCD Beta2 but will not work correctly. but I do hope that with my experience (I have been good at IT since I was 10 years old) I could help other.

Just to say "Hi". Have joined the forum in order to try the beta of EasyBCD 2 now that the Linux distribution I use (Sabayon Linux) has switched to Grub2. I am looking forward to trying out EasyBCD to see if it lives up to the high praise I have been reading in some Internet forums.

Hi Fitzcarraldo, welcome to NST.

Hope EasyBCD 2 does the trick for you. If it doesn't just post away and we'll be more than happy to help.

Hello people,

Joined to learn more about Win 7 Bootloader.

I just installed 7 Pro and now my old XP Pro is dual booting.

Pre-installation I moved XP to a different drive to archive it thinking I would only be running XP virtual inside 7, to my surprise the bootloader loads both .
