im installing the VPN client my school uses, but hopefully i can get my Dlink adaptor working for wireless

it isnt vista compatible :frowning:
 
Then yeah i remember trying out The Suffering. I knwo i at lesat tried it. Sorta like the game Postal. That was fun game to play. Just shoot everything in site. Postal 2 was a bit more popular. But overall just fun ti shoot everything in site. Kinda like most of today's FPS games.

Are you sure we are talking about the same game? in The Suffering there are people you shouldn't kill :tongueout:

All game magazines or most of them (in Europe) said, back in the day, that Postal is trash :evil:

I wasnt sayign that Postal was like The Suffering. I was jsut saying how some of the older games are better than some games now a days.

Wasnt the Suffering more like a Diablo type game? I am trying to get my head wrapped around what it was. I played so many games back when i had more time i dont remember them all anymore.:lol:

Well.. hmm it was nice, I liked The Suffering :grinning: I said it already... but okay..

I never played Diablo, thats why my friend hates me, I never played his favorite game.

all i played so far is is multiplayer, BUT IT IS AWESOME!

i havent really played online much, but i was getting pretty good, i made it to rank sergeant II! and i started at private

ranks online arent carried over for single player and vise versa lol

ill get some screen shots today

i just got back from playing COD4 for at least five hours lol

im not going to sleep lol

im running on optimal which is in the lower settings but it still looked awesome on my computer and is SO FREAKING AWESOME!

I'm playing Simpsons game made in 2003 I think... Its not bad.. I got mad at it cause I can't pass one mission with Homer, but I'm on my way to beating it now :tongueout:

I played COD 4 and it is awesome the coolest level is the sniper one when you're Cpt. Price and the nuke part.
Only problem is that the campaign is too short. i finished it in around 5-6 hrs.:frowning::frowning:
But this game is real cool better than COD 2.:booyah::booyah:
Now i'm playing Timeshift, its kinda like HL2 but i seem to have a problem whenever there is a body (Dead or Alive) there is a see-through black box around it, here are some screenshots
Plus whenever i turn it on it says i need the newest video drivers even though i just updated them today

^ sounds like a shader problem to me.

That, and the warning message about drivers tells me you need to get the newest drivers - are you downloading them from the Toshiba website or from the ATi website?

Which engine is that? I mean Timeshift.

i only downloaded the display drivers do i need to download the whole thing?

No, only the display drivers.

If that hasn't fixed anything, check
1) If there's an update for TimeShift on their website
2) The graphics settings in the game, particulary shading, shadowing, and lighting options.
 
well this is my status report:
1- i have the latest ATI display drivers from the ATI website.
2- the game is updated to the latest version 1.2
3- the graphics and shadow/shader settings are all on the highest
yet i still seem to have the problem
i believe there is an issue between this game and ATI drivers/graphics card (at least thats what i read)
i guess ill play it the way it is and wait for my brother to come from college in the break. hes a real computer wiz.:booyah::booyah:

P.S. do u think the COD4 lan thing would work good with 256kb internet??
P.P.S. i got The Suffering but it doesnt work. it says that it is only compatible with 98/2000/xp/server2003. i tried patching it ( the patch affects the suffering.exe and the suffering.rfl)but the patch doesnt work. so i got a crack for the .exe but then a new message started coming after the non-compatible message and it says that the rfl is incompatible. i tried running in compatibility mode also but it still doesnt work.
