iReboot 2.0.1 released

iReboot 2.0.1 is now available for download. This release addresses one critical issue and introduces one new feature. Under certain undetermined conditions, some versions of the .NET Framework would terminate the IPC connection between the iReboot taskbar agent and the helper service.

Anyone receiving an error similar to the one below should upgrade immediately to resolve the problem:

System.Runtime.Remoting.RemotingException: Object ‘/edc1e724_e3ce_413c_9233_b1a4e95ddbc3/jdxwdm7_jci27ce8mm_q_rwb_3.rem’ has been disconnected or does not exist at the server.

In addition, iReboot 2.0.1.42 will also remember all changes/settings in the main iReboot menu regardless of how the system was rebooted (manually or via iReboot).

Registered users can download the latest version directly from their user control panel, and users of the community edition can grab the update from the iReboot homepage.

For our US members observing Memorial Day today, our thoughts are with you. For Douglas Adams fans everywhere, build 42 is the answer.
