NeoSmart Technologies needs your help!

If you dropped by yesterday (like 300k others did…) you might have noticed that there was a “site susended” notification, asking us to contact our host to resolve it; because we had too much traffic in too little time. You may have also noticed that we are proudly ad and pop-up free, and may even realized that a non-profit organization sitting on the bleeding edge of technology and news costs a pretty penny to run. We need your help, and we need it ASAP. Our host has kindly given us a “probation period” for us to gather up the money and get upgraded to a VPS solution.

There are several ways you can help; we have added a donation link to the sidebar, and we would be grateful for whatever you can afford to donate for a good cause. We are a non-profit organization, so depending on your country of residence, you might be able to get a tax-deduction for whatever much you helped us out with. We are also adding a donation link via AlertPay for those of you that prefer not to use PayPal.

If you are looking for hosting, Micfo has excellent deals, and we can also get a package upgrade if we refer enough people, making that another way you can help us out, at no cost to yourself whatsoever. We’re looking into non-obtrusive ads, we really hate to but it is either that or charging for our support forums and software, which is something we don’t believe in or plan on doing anytime soon, but NeoSmart Technologies has been running at a high cost to itself out of our own pockets, and though we’ve been happy to foot the bill thus far, leasing a VPS is a bit of a steep incline.
