I presume in your case it really is that EasyRE is outdated; Microsoft introduced quite a few changes in the anniversary edition that prevent older EasyRE’s from repairing your newer Windows 10. If you’ve recently purchased EasyRE, shoot support an email to easyre@neosmart.net for a free upgrade.

I have tried to create USB bootable disk of EasyRE, I paid for it, downloaded it, installed it and is starts the procedure fine asking me what version of EasyRE should I start. After I select any of them, it starts the process, but ends in 3 secs for line “MSI supports 8 lines, 64 bit…”. I am running Windows 10 in Toshiba Portege in quite new setup. I have problem of “Other User” Windows Login Problem.

Downloaded iso for W10, burned to CD. No menus like those pictured — only endless text commands and code, followed by a scrambled rater and endless disk hunting.

I burn the iso image with the windows 10 recovery tools you have but it will not boot into the usb stick i have made. And it will not boot into the cd i burned with the software either. What is the problem.
From my experience, even on the paid version, I have never been able to get the USB version of this application to work. I see the same garbled output as you find. The only way I have managed to use the software is via the CD/DVD option, and then it works well. I strongly request the developer to improve the USB creation tool.

I find similar problem with this software. The USB option just does not work. I did manage to get the CD option to boot, and the recovery software I find does work well once you get the CD option to work but it loads very slowly. I strongly request NeoSmart to correct their USB creator software.
@Jonathan: we’d be happy to, but we’ve had no verifiable such reports of the USB utility failing. “just does not work” unfortunately does not constitute a useful bug report.
Dear Mahmoud. I have both the W7 and W10 Recovery options and I have never been able to get the application to run using the USB option. From what I gathered on prior communication with you support, the only application that allows the Boot files to be created correctly is your Easy USB Creator? I have tried numerous times to create a functioning USB drive, but it does not work for me. Can you perhaps help further on this? I hav only had success using the CD option.

I recently purchased Win 8.1 EasyRe and worked on one machine. I am thinking of purchasing EasyRe for Win 10. However, I m not sure if it will work as I get an error 0x8007045D. I have Gateway machine desktop Model ZX4655G_W which I have installed a new 2T hardrive and attempted to install fresh Win 10 .The error appears during step 2 of installing Win 10. Will EasyRe be able to correct this problem?
Similar problems creating a bootable USB from the paid / commercial version from the neosmart ISO for Windows 10 Recovery. Using the same process I created a Windows 10 Installation media (so i know the USB process works, just appears to be the ISO that doesn’t support booting from USB). Who has CD/DVD these days anyway?
Was hoping for a simple way to boot into a recovery tool. Looks like I wasted the $$ and will resort to using Linux + Windows 10 installation media.

That’s your mistake. It’s not the same process. The EasyRE ISO image uses a different format than the Windows setup ISO image, and we have explicit, clear directions with a tutorial video and step-by-step instructions on how to correctly create a bootable USB in our wiki at http://j.mp/EREUSB2
I find exactly the same problem. The USB creating process is flawed. I have followed your instructions 100% and the USB process is NOT FUNCTIONING correctly. As I mentioned previously I have tried it on the W7 and the W10 recovery software and have never got the USB process to function correctly

My laptop a dell xps15 with Microsoft Windows 10 professional which was updated from windows 8.1 successfully and working until disk crashed. I bought your software, burned a DVD as instructed run the program and received the following:

The Windows 7 EasyRE bootable CD doesn’t work if SP1 is installed (says not compatible) and/or installed in UEFI mode is also an issue.
However, at the time I downloaded Windows 7 EasyRE, there was no SP1 & UEFI wasn’t being discussed widely yet, so maybe the combination of factors were why my EasyRE CD didn’t work. Probably was looking for a MBR install on a non-SP1 Windows 7.
At any rate, I don’t blame NeoSmart, as I’ve used their EasyBCD utility on many machines when dual booting Windows with Linux, and was able to retain Windows (XP through 10) as default OS. To me, that’s worth more than an EasyRE CD, as I have Windows ISO’s for repair & Google is my right hand partner in fixing broken OS’s, regardless of reason.

What a piece of @$@#%#. I bought the WIN 10 version. First of all, I couldnt make a USB bootdrive. First error was no active partition, then I tried another UXB drive and via your tool created a boot USB. However my Acer laptop wont start-up from it. The I made a boot CD with the ISO I downloaded. After a long time the ERE interface showed up. I selected the WIN10 NTFS partition and selected automated repair. I checked memory first, no errors, but after that NOTHING happened !! No warnings, errors or whatsoever. If one has serious boot errors, then at least your software should report back what the hell is going on. So frustrating !!! I want my money back or a proper resolution

I am very glad others are pointing out the problem of the USB recovery drive. I have never been able to successfully create a USB recovery drive on this software on all the windows versions I have purchased.
The process is definitely flawed.
I will though keep on praising the software as it works for me on the CD versions, but I would far prefer to be able to use the USB option.
I am also not very happy with the marketing approach of this company as they force one to buy a new version with every new version of Windows, including the relatively minor different versions of Windows 10.
e.g. my w10 version that works on 1511 will not work on 1507 etc.

I am retracting my complaint now on the USB creation! Today I eventually got it to load correctly. And once again I will complement the developers on excellent recovery software. Please explain your policy on updates? For example I purchased the W10 version in January this year. When I tried using this version on W10 build 1703 I get a message the software is too old to repair this version. Are you prepared to update my version at no cost? Or perhaps a reduced cost?

&Mahmoud Al-Qudsi I cannot create a boot usb pen dirve that works, It gives me the option into boot normal repair, VGA or Safe mode, neither of those options let me boot into the software. I can send you the log file.
I downloaded the ISO for Windows 10 Home and burned it to a CD on a Windows 10 computer that is working. When I place the CD in the machine that is not working the CD runs briefly and then nothing happens. I have already gone into the BIOS and set the boot to the CD. No message, just a black screen. Help, please.
I am not a technical person.
My issue is the blue screen of death with a 0000021a error.
I downloaded windows 10 pro on my working laptop and copied it to my USB.
I changed the boot sequence on damaged pc to boot from USB.
I stuck usb in damaged pc and started it.
Numerous attempts later, I have no joy seeing the recovery solution work.
Have I missed something.
Do I need to unpack the downloaded recovery kit on my working PC first, before saving it to the USB.
Please guide me.

@Garth: It is insufficient to simply copy the downloaded EasyRE ISO file to the USB stick. Please follow the video/picture/text instructions at http://j.mp/EREUSB2 to get it working from USB.

Bootloader got corrupted (/bcd 0xc0000098 error) on 3-month old laptop. Downloaded EasyRE for Win10, burned the ISO to a USB flash drive, booted into recovery, selected ‘automatic’ repair and within 5 minutes, I was back in windows 10 … thank you!

I have paid for both Windows 8 and Windows 10 version last Year and must say I was very happy but now when I try to use them it tells me it cannot repair it with this version “any reason” and can you tell me how to fix this problem please.
Burned (Windows10 Repair) ISO to disk, then disabled SECURE BOOT and then changed UEFI to CMS, then booted and ran Automatic Repair and had a corrupted Acer Aspire Desktop UEFI bootloader repaired. Excellent that this works on prebuilt W10 desktops (a real pain to sort out the UEFI bootrec manually). Cheers.

I had similar issues myself. Purchased the product for its “guaranteed fix” of the windows auto repair infinite loop. Not only did it not fix the problem it made it worse, my pc wouldn’t even get to the auto repair loop it would endlessly say it needed to restart. That being said though, customer service rep that assisted me through my ordeal was really sympathetic and genuinely helpful. I ended up having to delete my hardricd partitions and reinstall Windows, but the windows ezrecrovery I had purchased had a second function that made the whole thing worthwhile, it allowed me to backup my entire hardrive to an external before the “clean sweep”. And to clarify by this time I couldn’t access anything on my pc except for the bios. Being able to back up my entire hard drive and restore t after the reinstallation was HUGE.
