What is a recovery and repair disk
Major PC manufacturers no longer give customers a real Windows 7 installation DVD along with their purchase of a computer.
A Windows 7 installation DVD can be used to recover your PC, not just install a Windows 7 copy. The DVD has a “recovery center” that gives you options to Automated Recovery (attempts to fix automatically any errors found), System Restore (restores your computer to the last working state) or you can access a command-line for advanced recovery options.
Instead, customers are expected to create a recovery media themselves – on a CD, DVD or USB drive.
Your computer’s hard drive might have a recovery partition added by the manufacturer, but what happens when your PC or Windows isn’t working or you’ve lost the disks you had?
If you can’t boot into Windows or your PC isn’t working, only a bootable recovery and repair CD/DVD/USB can save you.

Hey,
You have no idea how much this has SAVED MY LIFE. I actually received my laptop today (Dell Inspiron N5010) and I decided to install Ubuntu on it. Unfortunately I didn’t want Ubuntu in the end and followed a guide on how to delete it from my system – but I didn’t know it deleted the boot loader.
AFTER 5 HOURS OF BROWSING, I came across this website, and within 2 minutes, everything got fixed! Back to normal, happy days.

Hi,

I followed this instruction to restore to the previous point but I only saw 1 restore point that I didn’t expect (the point is after my foolish deleting action). How can I restore to sooner time? Please help me :(. Thanks in advance.
in my case is..when i turn on my laptop gonna black screen..just showing some words..”BOOTGMR is compressed” pleased i need someone can tell me how to solve in this problems..
Can I use a USB to do this? Im out of CD-R’s.
to all the people who expected to download an .iso file and have a.rar file instead, there´s no need to unzip , just use imgburn 2.5.5.0 and with the option ” write image file to disc ” browse to the .rar file you just downloaded and is going to recognise it as a image file. That´s all, you got a working recovery disc for W7.Bye.
Hey mate, this works for me like a charm.. I’ve spend 3 hours to try the startup repair but you’ve save my ass with this awesome software. Love you man.. Thanks alot.
Wow……….amazingly it works,,,,,,,,,i recovered my window 7 (Bootmgr missing press ctr+alt+del) by using only this software.

Thanks so much for hosting these disks!!!
The best way to fix any Windows 7 problem is to wipe it off your hard drive and install Windows XP 64bit. LOL Unfortunately, my friend wants to keep it, so once again thanks for the recovery disks!!!!
You are the main man!! Thankyou

AS I WAS BURNING THE VISTA RECOVERY DISK FOR A FRIEND, I GOT A LITTLE AHEAD OF MYSELF AND ACTUALLY SELECTED “OPEN” INSTEAD OF “SAVE”.
ONLY BECAUSE MY COMPUTER IS NOW, AND HAS BEEN EVER SINCE I REBOOTED AFTER THAT HAPPENED, ACTING STUPID. 1) the “wireless enable/disable” window does not fully appear. 2) my appearance of windows has reverted to “classic theme” etc.
I THOUGHT IT COULD BE CUZ VISTA WAS “OPENED” ON IT AND SO I’VE TRIED “OPENING” 7 BUT “NOT ENOUGH SPACE” ~~*any suggestions on this please help im going nuts having to be CONNECTED to something
Thanks alot… you saved my life. My HP laptop was bundled with Vista but i upgraded to 7. The problem is I have Vista Recovery Disc but my internal DVD player already not working anymore. So i used external DVD player but sometimes it doesn’t work..
I have windows 7 already installed and im just trying to figure out how to burn it onto a CD . Please help 🙂
It worked! The torrent is a ISO file and you’ll need a disk burning software to build a disk from an ISO file. I used BurnAware.
I placed the disk in my DVD drive and rebooted.
Upon start-up the bios will hang for a short time asking if you want to boot from the CD DVD. Select this.
I backed up to a Blu-Ray disk and had this in the BD drive.
When repair asked for permission to rebuild select the BD disk drive and the repair disk software found the backup file.
I was more than happy to donate, Thanks Much!
FYI for anyone attempting this, boot from your CD / DVD ROM after burning, you may think it is not going to start, it takes several minutes to load through the recovery process. It worked and got my system booted up, and without needing to reformat or lose any data! It’s amazing!!
THANKS SO MUCH IT WORKED!
merci bcp
I tried to recover my laptobby using that recovery discs. after disc n 1 and 2 was done system asked for recovery n 3, when i put cd, 3 there says important files couldn’ br found. Could you tell me please what was problem thre and what i should do?
my laptop does not have any optical driver with it. should i need a different procedure? thanks in advance.
Thanks very much, it’s really a valuable help kit.
Big Thank You!! I screwed up my installation by accidentally making a data disk active.. and I couldnt boot. My install disc couldnt repair it automatically, so tried tons of things like bootrec this and that, diskpart this and that, even tried with ubcd but just couldnt get it right. Then I popped THIS in and in one automatic repair iteration it solved the problem. Awesome.
I would like to make a donation if you’re accepting them. Your paypal donation links are inactive.
